For those who don't know,The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, is a tragedy by William Skakespeare believed to have been written between 1599 and 1601,but despite much research, the exact year Hamlet was written remains in disputed. The play vividly charts the course of real and feigned madness from: overwhealming grief to seething rageand explores themes of treachery, revenge, incest, and moral corruption.Hamlet is Shakespeare's longest play and among the most powerful and influential tragedies in the english language. It provides a storyline capable of "seemingly endless retelling and adaptation by others."Hamlet-like other  legends are so widely found in Euroupe, and show off a core "hero-as-fool" theme. According to a popular theory, Shakespeare's main source is believed to be an earlier play now lost known today as theUR-Hamlet. Possibly written by Thomas Kyd or even William Shakespeare himself, the Ur-Hamlet would have been in performance by 1589 and the first version of the story known to incorporate a ghost.
